Step 2 Pre- listening

Show a picture of my pen friend and describe her: She has yellow hair and blue eyes. She can do a lot of things: sing English song()Do Chinese Kungfu.(ʾ)She is my best pen friend- We usually write letters or send e-mail to each other.

Step 3 While- listening

First listening:Answer the question: Where is Laura from?

Second listening: Answer the following question: Can Daming speak English? Can Daming be Laura’s pen friend?

Third listening: ask students to read after the tape and find out two students to read.
